Ballenger weighs in

Bill Ballenger, the tell-it-how-is right-wing political pundit, says the field for the 7th District congressional primary is cleared for Tim Walberg to prove himself.
If there hadn't been four other "hard-right" candidates in 2004, Walberg "probably would be in Congress today," Ballenger said in the March edition of Inside Michigan Politics.
"Make no mistake about it: this is likely to be one of the most fascinating, closely-watched 2006 primaries anywhere in these United States, and the result may tell much about the future direction of the Republican Party, in Michigan and elsewhere," Ballenger writes.
Ironically, today is Ballenger's birthday.

Bill Ballenger...right wing pundit? We are talking about the same Bill Ballenger, right? I would say he is hardly perched in the right wing of the party. And I would say he tells-it-as-he-sees-it rather than tell-it-as-it-is...but that is just me.

This is also a good chance for the Democrats to get their act together and nominate a strong candidate and veteran to appeal to all voters and make this a Democratic seat.

"Ironically, today is Ballenger's birthday."

How is that ironic?
