Schwarz in Iraq with McCain

Congressman John “Joe” Schwarz is in Iraq this weekend with a delegation of governors and lawmakers to urge that government to get its act together as sectarian violence escalates.
The Battle Creek Republican is joined by his pal Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, and McCain’s campaign finance co-reformer, Russell Feingold, D-Wis.
Both McCain and Feingold are considering running for president in 2008.
"Our message is this, the elections have been held and we're trying to encourage the Iraqi government now to get itself organized. A government of national unity so to speak,” Schwarz told WOOD TV of Grand Rapids via satellite.
Schwarz directed McCain’s 2000 campaign for president in Michigan, and McCain beat Bush in the primary.
McCain then campaigned for Schwarz during in the 2004 primary, really upseting the other five Republican opponents.

We couldn't wait for the weapons inspectors; then they would greet us as liberators, now we beg them to "please, can't we all get along?" Time to fire the pro-war, stay the quagmire course, life-time politicians who got us into this mess.
