Turn on the TV

Former state Rep. Tim Walberg is expected to roll out a television campaign ad in the next couple of days that sticks to his pledge to run a clean campaign.
A script of the ad obtained by the Battle Creek Enquirer makes no mention of Walberg's primary opponent, incumbent U.S. Rep. Joe Schwarz.
"As a legislator (in the Michigan House of Representatives) Tim Walberg voted thirty times for lower taxes," the ad says. "In Congress Walberg will fight to defend traditional marriage. And Walberg is 100% pro-life. He’ll protect the unborn by opposing abortion."

The ad is about as generic as they come. It only blathers about the things we already know that Walberg stands for (it's getting old). He has no idea or plan for national security, has no foreign relations expertise or any knowledge of world economics and probably has never been outside of Michigan. This guy would be lost in Washington.

The world is a much bigger place than he realizes, and a lot more complex than his pet issues. This is no time for an amateur like him. He'd be better off back in Lansing.

I'll take Schwarz's values and his worldly experience anytime over this political lightweight.
