Schwarz: 'The whole world is grey'

Speaking about his moderate Republican political ideology, U.S. Rep. Joe Schwarz told the Brooklyn Exponent that "People like to color things black and white, but the fact of the matter is, the whole world is grey."
Timothy Walberg, Schwarz's GOP opponent in the Aug. 8 primary, labels the incumbent a liberal .
Known as a maverick who often broke party lines as a state Senator, Schwarz said labeling a politician is an oversimplified view of the world.
"It actually raises disingenuousness almost to an art form to try to oversimplify and talk about 'liberal and conservative.' I think someone who does that is betraying his or her own lack of any detail and nuance knowledge of the issues," Schwarz told the Exponent's Matt Schepeler in a June 6 question and answer article.

An Adrian Insider reader passed along the link to this story.
"I enjoy your blog. You have done a good job of keeping your coverage of the race in the 7th apolitical. Those who just use weblogs to spout opinion and propaganda drive me nuts," the reader wrote in a June 8 e-mail to The Insider.

Agree, that was good. Schwarz in his truest form. Doesn't mince words and tells it like it is. We need to keep him in Congress!
