TV & radio ad wars

The TV & radio advertisement wars between the backers of U.S. Rep. Joe Schwarz and former state Rep. Tim Walberg are well underway in Michigan's 7th District.
A group calling itself "Republicans Who Care" is running two ads touting "fiscal conservative Joe Schwarz" and saying Walberg favors a national sales tax.
Republicans Who Care is the 527 political action committee arm of Republican Main Street Partnership, Roll Call magazine reported in November .
The group's Federal Election Commission reports contain just a Washington, D.C. address.
Club for Growth has two competiting radio ads in which the narrator says Schwarz is "shockingly liberal" and "extremely liberal."
Both these PACs have butt heads before.
And both groups are pouring money into the Schwarz & Walberg campaign war chests.
The Main Street Partnership plugs itself as "party members and public officials who are fiscally conservative deficit hawks."
Schwarz has been Club for Growth's No. 1 target from day one of this election season.
The anti-tax, anti-big government network of 30,000 "men and women, from all walks of life"started a Web site bashing Schwarz called JoeSchwarzIsALiberal.com.
