David Munson backing Schwarz; James Dobson supports Walberg

David Munson, president of the Lenawee County Chamber for Economic Development, is backing Joe Schwarz's re-election bid in the Aug. 8 primary over Tim Walberg, a native of this county.
Munson appeared at a press conference in Jackson on Monday during Sen. Chuck Hagel's effort to stump for the incumbent.
See Schwarz's campaign homepage and scroll down for video of Munson speaking.

In other endorsement news...
Tim Walberg is touting the endorsement of Dr. James Dobson, head of Focus on the Family.
Walberg criticized Schwarz’s vote on Tuesday against a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, the Lansing State Journal reported today.
Meanwhile, Schwarz gained the endorsement of the National Rifle Association, which is seen as a devasting blow to Walberg's smaller gun lobby support from the Gun Owners of America and Shooters Alliance for Firearms Rights.

Schwarz scores another local endorsement. And of course, Mr. Walberg is touting yet another out of district, out of state, political action committe endorsement. More proof that Walberg is out of touch with those of us in the 7th district.

I'd be suprised if anyone who is an economic authority would ever endorse Walberg over Schwarz. Look at Gary Wolfram. There is another local voter who has made a sucessful living studying and implementing economic theory. He endorsed Schwarz, too.

Munson endorsed Schwarz because Walberg never did anything that helped create or retain a job in Lenawee.

It is important to note that Walberg's tenure basically destroyed the Lenawee GOP. No Republican has been elected to his seat since he left.
