Lessenberry: Schwarz has common sense

On his Michigan Public Radio show yesterday, progressive pundit Jack Lessenberry called U.S. Rep. Joe Schwarz "the kind of man" the nation's founders wanted in Congress.
Lessenberry also interviewed Schwarz on 91.7 FM during his show that begins daily at 1 p.m.
The Metro Times columnist and ombudsmen for The Toledo Blade says Schwarz is better than his ideologically-centered opponent (without naming Tim Walberg) by painting Schwarz as not a career politician.
Go to Lessenberry's blog to listen to his commentary. Go to Schwarz's campaign homepage to hear the interview.
Schwarz is a practicing physician, served in Vietnam in the military and CIA and then was mayor of Battle Creek and a state senator before being term-limited in 2004.
He was elected to congress in 2004 after beating out Walberg and four other Republicans to take the seat of Nick Smith, R-Addison, who retired.

Another NPR Lefty... Who else would he support besides Schwarz who has continually backed funding for Public Broadcasting; he knows which side his bread is buttered on.
