Details of Schwarz's FEC complaint

A Barry County blogger has posted excerpts of U.S. Rep. Joe Schwarz's election law complaints against Club for Growth and Tim Walberg, his Republican opponent who beat him in the August primary.

The nine point complaint outlines violations including: • The illegal coordination of campaign resources between Club for Growth Inc. and at least four Club for Growth-endorsed candidate committees including Walberg for Congress.• Club for Growth Inc. and Club for Growth PAC funneling illegal campaign contributions to the Walberg for Congress committee.• Club for Growth Inc.'s failure to register as a political action committee and failure to file legally mandated reports of receipts and disbursements. • The violation of federal campaign law by Walberg for Congress committee for accepting in-kind contributions in excess of $5,000.

Two things, AI...

It is Barry, not Berry. I wish to heck I knew the history of the namesake of Barry County, but I do not. Give me a quiz on Calhoun, Jackson or Kalamazoo and I got you covered... Maybe I will work on it.

Second thing: Remember, the Schwarz crew claims their latest complaint is a rehash of the same issues the government is suing Club for Growth for already. The feds think the "Club" cheats on elections and all Schwarz is saying is that they did it again this cycle. There really is nothing new except that they continue to skirt the rules and there is already a lawsuit playing out in the courts on these characters.

That's not accurate.

The new Schwarz complaint shows that Club for Growth is illegally coordinating (discussing ostensibly "indpendent" ad buys with campaign committees) with campaigns ACROSS the country.

They are literally trying to buy the election.
