Walberg wins, GOP loses

At next year's State of the Union address, Tim Walberg will look up from his seat on the right side of the aisle at the President, the vice president and... Speaker Pelosi.
Tim Walberg won a seat in Congress tonight, but there will be just a few more to his left.
While a few remaining precincts are counted, Walberg appears the winner.

Walberg might be the winner, but those of us living in the district are truly the losers. I definitely feel "unrepresented" by my new representative, as he is so far from what I and my friends and family believe. I can only see him making life here in Michigan worse. His inability to lead and make effective decisions was shown recently in his failure to get rid of a child abuser in his employ. It wouldn't surprise me to see him re-employ the same person in his new office. I am so disappointed and disallusioned.

I'm not optimistic about Walberg's tenure.

As a minority member of the state House, Walberg never passed any significant legislation. He claims to have been a major force behind Proposal A, but that's simply not true.

Expect Walberg to give lots of speeches and plenty of press releases explaining why he voted no on this and no on that.

But don't expect him to lead.
